The Love We Deserve

Love is patient, love is kind,
A steady force, a peaceful mind.
It doesn’t envy, it doesn’t boast,
It lifts you up when you need it most.
True love seeks not its own gain,
It heals the heart, it soothes the pain.
It doesn’t shame, it doesn’t tear,
It stands beside you, always there.
But in the shadows, love can break,
A mirror of the choices we make.
When love is selfish, filled with pride,
We lose ourselves, our light inside.
In unhealthy love, we start to bend,
We give, we break, yet never mend.
We pour ourselves into hollow hands,
Hoping someone will understand.
Love becomes a weight, a heavy chain,
Leaving scars that speak of pain.
It keeps a record of every wrong,S
tripping away where we belong.
But God designed a love so pure,
A love that’s patient, kind, and sure.
A love that doesn’t leave you lost,
But lifts you up, no matter the cost.
So never settle for less than this—
A love that heals, that strengthens, that lifts.
Write your own story, let your heart be free,
For God’s love is the love that’s meant to be.
True love doesn’t make you hide,
It walks with you, stays by your side.
It never fails, it never breaks,
It’s the love that gives, not takes.
Wait for the love that God has planned,
A love that holds, that understands.
A love that lets you truly be,
The version of you that’s fully free.
